For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.

2 Timothy 4:3-4

The Bible constantly warns that the last days will be a time of great challenge and anguish for Christians. Almost every book of the New Testament warns of false teachers and false doctrines. The rise of the Charismatic movement over the past sixty years has brought with it a plethora of false teaching and questionable, if not outright pagan and, even at times, demonic, practices. The last 20 years especially has seen a relentless sabotage of Biblical Christianity and the church from within. The acceptance and promotion of heresies including the latter rain heresies, the dominionist heresies, positive confession, seven mountain mandate heresy, warfare worldview heresy, apostles and prophets heresy, restoring the bride of Christ heresy, and many others has overtaken large parts of the Christian church. Much lip service is paid to the Bible, but, in practice, so-called dreams and visions has replaced the Bible as God’s Word, and the Bible has all but been forgotten, except to try and prooftext strange and weird experiences and occurrences.

My research over the past 10 years has opened my eyes to just how far the church community has strayed from Biblical Christianity, to the point where I constantly ask myself whether a large part of the so-called church is actually part of the true church as set out in Scripture. My practical research has centred on movements and experiences in Southern Africa particularly, as that is where I am based. The proliferation of pagan practices, teachings, experiences, and the rise of blatant witchcraft in these movements leads me to believe that a large part of this modern movement is no more than a blatant attempt by Satan himself to mislead and steal people away from the truth!

In The Coming Apostasy series, I will draw on the past 10 years of research and will seek to expose and highlight many of the false doctrines and practices in this false movement that clearly go contrary to the Scriptures, promote pagan practices, and sometimes even openly blaspheme God. I will regularly refer to materials, ‘teachings’ and practices of a few groups and organizations who are placed squarely in the midst of this false movement.

I do not seek to bring the downfall of people, neither do I seek to judge those involved, and so you will almost never find me naming names, but my prayer is that, by using a strongly Biblical basis to expose these false doctrine and practices, those who read and study through this website will be able to discern the truth, will have the courage to stand up against these false doctrines, and will heed the words of Scripture and have nothing to do with the false teachings or those who teach them, but will hold fast to the truth, and remain faithful to God and to the faith once and for all given through the apostles as found in Scripture.
